Our Miracle Working GOD

We have friends who are missionaries in Africa, where they live in a very remote area. Adequate medical care is three hours away from their base and the road to get there is very rough. Most of the people can’t afford medical care, even if it were possible for them to make the trip. The people in their sector have nothing to rely on but their faith in Jesus. They often share testimonies of the amazing things God has done, especially in the area of healing. The sad thing is that often people won’t believe that God really healed these people. Even people from the church will sometimes doubt saying, “God couldn’t heal something like that.” Yet often, it’s through great trial that bring us to our knees in prayer that draw us much closer to Jesus. evening

Paul wrote his letter to the Ephesians from prison, yet he didn’t talk about his suffering. Instead he spoke of how thankful he was for their faith and love. Paul prayed that they would have wisdom and revelation, so they would know Jesus more. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better (Ephesians 1:17). Pray for the specific needs of others. There are times when we can’t think of a solution to a problem but God, in His mysterious power, can work things out effortlessly. It has been my experience that when I pray in faith for others God meets my needs even before I ask.

There’s nothing better than beginning each day fellowshipping with Jesus through prayer and reading the Scriptures. Faith comes by hearing so when we spend time each day in God’s Word it builds our faith. Prayer is simply a two-way communication with a loving God. Prayer changes things. Don’t think miracles only happened in Biblical times. God is still in the miracle business --
sometimes we are too blind to see His work. Remember nothing is impossible for God!
