I've lost track of all of the state questions and initiatives we've voted on over the last 30ish years that were going to be "THE" answer to education funding. If all of that money AND the money allocated in the general fund for education had ACTUALLY gone to education, we'd have some of the most well funded schools in the nation. But it hasn't.

Now, thanks to the "Tax cut your way to prosperity" and failed trickle down economics mentality of our moronic governor and our GOP led legislature, we've been cutting funding to education and other core functions. Now they're trying a few new taxes, but still haven't talked about rolling back their tax cuts that got us here to begin with. Are they really stupid enough to think new business is going to come to a state with our crappy roads and the worst education funding in the nation ? What for ? The guidance and leadership of the solidarity of stupidity that runs our state ? wedding for kids

I heard a few legislators say, that the teachers risk losing public support if the walk-out continues. That's NOT TRUE. You may lose their support, but then you never really had that to begin with. Did you ?

Teachers, hold your ground. Stick to your guns until they give you what WE need. This really isn't about you. It's about ALL of us. Our kids and our state need what you're doing. If our state government had the balls you guys have, we'd be a lot better off. Thanks for what you're doing. Don't give up.
